
How it all started
Elements Sourdough Pizzeria was founded by brothers Sami & David Velasquez in July 2025. This venture would be the next chapter in their culinary career towards working together and building upon what their family had started almost 40 years ago. The brothers began their journey at Seba Seba Bakery which would go on to become a staple in the community. Taking a deep interest in the world of food and hospitality, naturally the brothers chose to follow in their fathers footsteps and dreamed of opening something together. Sami would eventually go to study at the Culinary Institute of America, and spent time working and opening restaurants along NYC. He circled around and eventually decided to get back to his roots and focus on baking which would lead him to learn the skills of sourdough baking and lamination. A short time later an opportunity arose and the brothers opened up Parva Bakeshop in 2019, this would be the first venture together and a test towards their partnership

Being born and raised in New York, the brothers were naturally passionate about PIZZA. New Yorkers love their pizza and are particular about their favorite spot. This would lead to the brothers working on this new venture, Elements Sourdough Pizzeria.

They would use their skills in sourdough baking and their upbringing in their family's business to formulate a new concept which is focused on creating the best NY style pizza, while using sourdough techniques and focusing on each individual ELEMENT of the pizza.
From the naturally sweetened, vine riped tomatoes from California for their sauce, to using the highest quality unbleached unbromated flour available, to even stretching their own mozzarella for their custom cheese blend. Elements became the next step for the brothers and the message was simple, focus on every element that makes a pizzeria remarkable.
